As of the 2011-12 school year, all K-4 classrooms , the Media Center, Art Room and Music Rooms now include a SMART Interactive Whiteboard. SMART Boards transform learning by engaging students and help teachers bring more collaboration and interactivity into the classroom.
Bayview Elementary has 2 student computer labs. The Courtyard Lab and Tower Lab each host 28 student computers. Students visit the computer labs for a variety of learning experiences.
Keyboarding and word processing skills are introduced to 3rd and 4th graders. All grade levels are exposed to educational software and websites, which compliment math, reading, language arts and social studies curriculum. Students in grades 2-4 also use the computer labs 3 times yearly for MAP (Measure of Academic Progress) computer based assessments.
Computers for student use can also be found in the Media Center, grade level commons areas and classrooms.
